In late August 2012, I bid a fond farewell to the Pacific Northwest and headed over to Texas A&M University to take up a new Postdoctoral Research position. When deciding to leave Eugene, I had desired a change of pace and had been considering various teaching positions from Princeton to the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. However, a chance encounter opened an opportunity with Professor Valerie Taylor of Texas A&M and a very interesting research/development project for which she needed a post-doc. The timing turned out to work very well where visa-related issues were concerned, so here I am!
The rumors are true. Everything really is BIGGER in Texas! :)
